Good Wednesday morning to you. It’s another good day from the roads in Texas. While riding this week I am giving you small ideas from the road that apply to life. Earlier today, I was thinking of what would be a good idea for this blog and realized instead it’s time to take a break and ride. After all we are riding in Houston today. If you have never been here, you are not missing much in my estimation. Traffic is bad here. The more I had to ride around, the more it frustrated me how people drive down here. So we decided to get off the road and get a cup of coffee and check out a different route online. We ended up at McDonalds.
Years ago, McDonalds had the commercial tagline that said “You deserve a break today.” Well, you do. Many of us work hard when we work. And when we take a break, many of us work then, too. While this week is vacation to us, we are still working to get a passport stamped at 41 different Harley-Davidson dealers. Well it can seem like work.
So I am once again going to take my own advice and take a break and enjoy my time. Tonight we are going to go hang out with some friends of ours in Houston and have some drinks, shoot some pool, and enjoy ourselves.
What is my task to teach you today? When you are done with your work, take a break. Go home and enjoy time with your family. Yes, I’m sure when you get home you have some chores to do, but spend some time and relax. Take a break watch a movie, play a board game with your family. If you live by yourself then call a friend and the two of you play an old board or card game. It’s time for me to tell you: take a break. That’s what I’m doing.
