So this week we are on vacation. My wife and I are visiting several places we love in Northern California. We spent a couple of days in San Francisco and a will spend a couple more in Napa.
But while this is a much-needed vacation, I still have responsibilities that don’t go away: my blog must be written and posted daily; I now have a weekly radio show that is taped live every Thursday morning; and I’m working out the final details for our two-day event, which will be held at the end of November in Dallas.
You see, even though we take vacations in life, our businesses may never get time off. When it comes to the daily part of life, we all still must breathe and eat and drink. So what is an entrepreneur to do when on vacation?
I may not know what all entrepreneurs do when they take a break, but this week I am going to a few things with you that I have learned keep moving while I’m away from work. And I’m going to start the week off with the idea that even while we’re on vacation we must still be learning. I am still reading, still studying things to make business and life move easier.
I have some of my books with me and I still read some things on the internet to keep up with my regular growth. You see, I will never forget that fundamental wealth principle: the wealthy are always learning and growing; the poor think they know it all.
So just because you are on vacation does not mean that you stop learning. Today, no matter what happens in your life and business keep learning. I’m on vacation but I will still be focused on my personal growth and development.
