It’s day two of the week and I’m about to head out from Van Horn, TX on my way to Phoenix. I am sticking with my daily habit of getting the blog written, as well as other habits that keep my business running while I travel to reach another audience with RockStar ideas.

I wanted to touch on a habit that is so talked about, and when I travel it’s a habit that I often fail at. I want to ask you, what are you putting into your body? No, this is not a food blog, but in a way it is. When I am on the road I tend to eat at fast food places more and more. I started out my year by saying I would not eat at them, but with my travels I end up in towns that just don’t have good food selections.

Now let’s take that to another level and ask, what are we feeding our minds? I have taken the loads of TV I used to watch out; I still check out a movie on those movie channels, or watch news  interviews of those friends who get TV time. But just like the fast food on the trip, a steady diet of just watching TV shows, or even Cable news TV is not the healthiest thing for the mind.

So today I want to share another habit that you should put into action to bring success to your business, and life: start a reading habit. Start with a few good books that will help you read and gather answers to the solutions you are looking for right now.

Maybe you already have a good reading habit since you are here reading one of the posts I put up. I read many other blogs every day. I have a few of them sent to my email so I’m able to read them from my iPad, or iPhone.  I have a place on my blog where you can sign up and receive mine that way also.

I know a young man who made this change in his life: my friend Tom Ewer who writes the blog, “Leaving Work Behind.” Tom not only writes, but he also reads many blogs. He answers those people who post on his blog. I was happy to Tom’s 2012 list of top 100 blogs you should read in your life.

So you can find good reading in many places: good books, good blogs, magazine and newspaper articles that give you a better outlook on life. While I may be eating fast food on the road, I still feed my mind with great information about change and building a better life and business. Take that habit then add it to the rest of your daily habits and watch the changes happen.

I’m Tim Gillette, the Rocker Life Coach. It’s time to live your dream, to love what you do and those you share life with. Build a habit of reading to become a knowledgeable RockStar in your world.
