Its Friday our last day of how entrepreneurs do vacation, I am writing this today from the local Starbucks in Palo Alto Ca. By the time most of you read this ill be in Woodland Hills at my new friend and fellow RockStar Tera’s business collaboration event.
It has been a great week that my wife planned for us to relax, do some fun things together. She planned this trip a few months back; I was not given the details, as it was to be our time together.
Our trip was to be over on Tuesday and headed back home, but due to other business meetings she needed to make we got to do some business out here as well. She is off at her meeting, while I am at my favorite place to write, meet people and get things done from the road The Local Starbucks.
I choose these coffee shops to work from as you can always find them filled with people, and I’m not talking just anyone these area usually people who are meeting for business, to catch up with that old friend or the find that place to get homework done without the distractions of others.
Yes I have heard the jokes how Starbucks is filled with those who are unemployed trying to look busy. I do not believe that, right now I am looking at a place filled with people six of them are working on a computer, one I reading a newspaper, two tables have people discussing something about business and a couple just enjoying an after noon coffee together and flirting.
I say Starbucks is filled with hope, people who are hopeful on what tomorrow will bring. They are planning it, talking about it, doing the work to make it happen and studying for it.
So from the road I have the wonderful joy of spending time in a Starbucks to get my small work assignments done while finishing up my vacation. I am hoping for a better tomorrow as well, I know our vacation is over and while last years the year was starting to get to planning for the holidays. This year I am planning to speak a few more times this year, as well as host one more event to help entrepreneur coaches build a bigger coaching platform.
