I want you to go back to when you were seven years old. It is Christmas morning and you are running down the stairs, down the hall in some cases. You see that wonderful pile of presents around a tree with decorations, lights, and sparkle.
We all have those memories of our favorite Christmas. Many can tell you the one they got that special gift that, to this day, leaves a wonderful thought of, “Life can’t get any better than this.”
We think of the beer commercial that told us it doesn’t get any better than this. I know you have this in your mind. I do not know what it is for you, as I learned last week the diverseness of people who read my blog. So some may not have those exact stories in mind but I’m sure you can relate.
I want to use this idea of that new shiny toy and the idea that life cannot get any better because of it. Or maybe it’s the excitement of something about to change. You feel it getting better; you know the moment you sign the papers, or make the first payment that everything is going to change.
This week we are going to focus on how the wonderful world of self-help is working in the lives of so many people. And we will spend the rest of this week explaining the process of how it goes and how it should go.
Maybe you have attended a great seminar or boot camp like the RockStar Success 101 series we are putting together this month in Dallas. Or you may have gone to ones I like to attend like RockStar Marketing Boot Camp, or Big Money Speaker Boot Camp. Maybe you have gone to life-changing seminars from the likes of Tony Robbins, or T.Harv. Eker, Brendan Brushard, Les Brown, or Loral Langemeier.
They all have a different message, and each of them has people come away with great results. They walk away with an excitement in life and are ready to move towards being a new person.
There is nothing you can do wrong in this part; you are ready to commit to making the changes needed in your life to make it work. You feel that you were meant to be in this spot at this time of our life. Have you felt this before? Did you make major changes that you can now look back on and say you feel the same excitement you felt that day?
You see, just like the Christmas present word picture I painted above, when next the Christmas came along you had probably forgotten many of those toys, gifts, and things you thought would change everything; you were ready for something new to change your life.
Today is only the first part in the series of five posts about the self-help cycle. We just touched the surface of this for one reason: it is a process that has built-in failures. But it also has a process that will bring your life to success. Come back each day and read about this cycle and find out how to avoid the pitfalls that make so many fail. See how to stop the cycle and move your life to success.
