So many of us want to change the world; we want to make a better world. Too many of us start outside of ourselves to make that change. We start outside of our house, outside our town. Lately the message is to go out to the world.
Before you can go to the world, first take that all the way back down to the power of one. You are the change that will change the world. We change what is on the inside and make ourselves better. This is the big sales feature for continuing education.
Take any one of our blog posts from this week then take a look at yourself and ask, “What can I change about myself to become a better person?” Take these three areas and look at yourself to see if you can make changes in your life that will, when developed, change the world.
1. Care of self. We need to take care of ourselves beginning with taking care of our health. While sitting at dinner with friends tonight, we spoke of the instruction they give you on a plane: if the oxygen masks fall, put yours on first and then help others. If you want to change the world you must be physically able to do so.
2. Spiritually. You need to know your own belief systems. I am personally a Christian and my faith is an thing to me. Having peace in your spirit to be mentally able to take on the world is important when you are facing challenges. You have to be of sound mind to be able to guide others.
3. Self perception. We have to view ourselves as someone that we like. I work all the time to build an attraction. Well, to do that I see myself as attractive first. It is all in how I look at myself, then others will see me the way I see myself.
Human Beings leak all kinds of information about themselves to the people around them. We broadcast our innermost feelings and attitudes to those that see us. It’s important that we see ourselves in a positive way, to broadcast positive things which, in turn, attract others to us. This is a great thing that my friend Catherine Hatcher uses in her speeches.
In the end, this week has come down to the power of you. You must be the change that you want to see in the world. Have a great weekend. See you next week.
