whitehouseThe world is crashing down more and more it seems. Or maybe it’s just the news we hear that tells us the sky is falling. With the talk of the sequester situation in Washington, it got me to thinking about our own attitude and how much it affects the money we leave on the table.

So many people jump first to place blame when they do not see the world they are striving to create work for them. They jump on board with the politics they believe will positively affect their business. The belief system they have in place is: “how will these changes in the world affect me?”

In 2008, just a few months before the elections when our president was elected the first time, so many of the men I had breakfast with in our weekly prayer and bible studies would suggest in their conversation the falling of the world was determined by what would happen in the election.

I had one friend who stopped by for a visit and made the statement that was not popular with those men. He said we live in America where you create your own economy. Ouch. That grabbed me but others in the group would not accept that. They had become comfortable talking about the failures, and while they did it, each of them was falling into a world where they watched one by one as the opportunities left.

Now I do not pretend to understand many things, including everything that is going on in politics. I have only a small amount of knowledge, enough for me to start an argument and prove how much I do not know. But I can tell you one thing: no matter the outcome of what is being decided politically, from the economy to the issues about gun control, I know that if my attitude is what I work on the most, then my world will only get better.

I may be able to write an article about this, or invite guests on my radio show to talk about it, but it would not be profitable for me. It would just cause an argument where we would get upset and that never solves anything. So I do my part of talking to you, my readers, on this blog and telling you that I know if you change your attitude, you will open more doors for success then ever before.

I was shocked when my wife and I were looking at numbers for the last year as we were doing our taxes; how Rocker Life Coach income has increased and is on its way to becoming the major income part of our company. No matter what has happened, I started to believe in what I chose, then I took action by doing it.

Yes, we have had setbacks last year; yes we struggle from time to time. But the attitude that we can make a change is stronger than ever. As we close out a week of leaving money on the table I want to leave you with a challenge: take the next four weeks and make an attitude of belief in yourself. Don’t look at what you think is actually happening, don’t focus on the obstacles that jump in front of your path. Take the next month and start with belief, and positive attitude that you can make a change in your life and business this year.

If you need help in making those changes, maybe it’s time to show up to our Rock ‘n’ Roll Success summit where we will create successful entrepreneurs who will change their world this year.
