So we are at the mid-point of the week. It will be my last day on the road, driving back home from LA and I’m still so excited about the changes in life and business I am making. I am reminded of a video I watched in the ‘80s of Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS. It was one of those videos that was supposed to show their real life.
Of course we all know the song and now I bet I can get you singing the lyrics. “I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day.” That song became more famous when KISS put their make-up back on in the late ‘90s and they toured again with all four original members.
I love how they rebuilt their brand; how much joy they had in life when they began touring again; how Gene Simmons marketed himself with his shows and events and business. I heard that despite his party persona, Gene is not a party kind of guy; he does not drink or do drugs.
Imagine that. I am always about making a better life, living the highs of life. Why is it that a man who is famous for playing a song saying he wants to party every day actually doesn’t party in the traditional sense at all? Did you ever think maybe his idea of a party is different than yours?
In my life, I’m not a big drinker. Sure, I enjoy a good glass of wine or a good beer, but I really enjoy a great cup of espresso each morning. It’s a great way for me to taste the pleasures of life and not just get high on things for a feeling; it’s about that high of life for me.
So I’m driving today, entering my home state of Texas and almost home. I am enjoying the trip. Check out the video Gwynne’s dad and I added on YouTube yesterday. All I’m going to say is “Tombstone.”
