Good Tuesday morning to you. This week is a busy one for me. Today will be day three of getting up at 4 am. This morning I am catching a plane back to Dallas from Milwaukee after a quick one-day to run up here as part of our motorcycle passport. It was part of my plan to actually take the relationship with Gwynne to a new level, as I asked her to marry me at a place that was special to us.

So as we are planning our next year of 2012, we are still living in a very busy 2011. This week I started off Sunday working with a local biker event for charity. Monday, to the airport to grab a flight at 6 am to Milwaukee for a day at the Harley-Davidson museum. Monday night, dinner with a friend who lives in the area up here. Get up Tuesday at 5 am and catch a flight back to Dallas. Then, meetings in Dallas until evening. Wednesday I have family coming into town, then a last minute request to speak on Thursday night at a private event.

I could go on about how busy this week and next will be for me. I am still putting the finishing touches on the 2012 start over programs, to introduce next week, preparing pages for introduction, reading and research for upcoming posts. We all have things that can keep us so busy, we can all get caught up in what will happen next year. Some will even start thinking next month.

We need to prepare now for next year, but this week is about now waiting but making a end of the year push. The reason so many people never reach all their goals each year is they keep putting off until tomorrow things they should do today. Gwynne tells of how she works with those who are in her weight watchers meetings. Telling them getting life right is not something that you put off till tomorrow, or to the beginning of the year. Each day you wake up and get another chance to start over. So get started and prepare now.

With eight weeks left in this year, are you writing your goals for next year? Then are you taking action now to work towards making those goals get running? Just this past week with all the things I have going on, I chose to look over what is working in our businesses, and what is not. That caused a clean wipe on the planning board yesterday. So far we only have six items back on that board in our plans for 2012. We are still making these last eight weeks count in the present year to set up those six items for next year.

When you review your life, think about breaking away aspects from your business and reflect on other things. What do you want to do to get your health right before holiday parties and big family events? If you want to start working out next year, start now by getting up just 15 minutes earlier each day and taking a 15 minute walk or jog to get you started towards a more intense workout plan for 2012.

Now, reflecting on your business life, start now by making the plan to build your side business, or charity that you have wanted to do for years. Start practicing and talking to other people to form your new musical group or band you wanted to do for years. If you start practicing songs now you will be ready to play events as soon as the opportunity comes.

Change your internal motivation by speaking to yourself that you will believe in your dreams. Start an education program now that gets you reading new books and programs that are going to prepare you for the coming year to take your knowledge to a level of leadership of those in your life.  Today is the day to begin preparing. Do it now rather than wait for a list of things that you need to start on. Get your own paper out and start writing down your ideas to make the rest of this year work for you. I’ll see you tomorrow.
