I was thinking today about the times I used to spend at the movies. Not just going to watch the movie, but getting the popcorn, a big coke and some raisinettes. What were your favorite candies? Did you have salt or butter on your popcorn?
Now I sit and watch movies on our bedroom TV. I love to watch so many movies. They have become one of those things that I enjoy, both for the entertainment as well as for the life lessons I often find in them.
Like the music we spoke about yesterday, movies are another place that I find lessons in life. The lessons are in everything from the way a movie plays out to the way a story flows.
I was thinking about popcorn and the movies. These are just some of those things that it seems you must have together. The movie theater always has so many different things to choose from. That is why I asked what candy you like, there are so many of them and for me they’re a part of the whole experience.
So what could I tell you about movies that would help build a system? I know we think it’s a tough thing to purchase that expensive popcorn, so let’s think about this. If you have some service you offer, what goes along with that service? How can you change your business model to make that one thing complement your business with an upgrade, or additional sale – like adding popcorn to the movie?
I watch all these movies looking for life lessons to teach entrepreneurs how to achieve more. The movies teach me more about myself. So what is it that you find that inspires you to make the changes in your life and business?
Tonight I’m going to watch a movie on demand with my wife. I think it’s time to see the movie, Rock of Ages. After all, I love the ‘80s rock music and that movie looks so good. See you tomorrow when we talk about another inspiration that I use to build my life system of success.
