It’s springtime and many people are out planting seeds in hopes of having a wonderful summer garden. They will have tomatoes, corn, lettuce, and carrots. I was thinking that not only do we plant gardens; all of us will also plant seeds that have influence in the successes and failures of the people around us.
Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another.
~Napolean Hill
Each and every day we plant seeds; you are doing it even if you do not believe you are. The seeds we plant will turn a switch in someone’s mind to develop a plan of success, or start them down a path of failure.
We all have influence in other people’s lives; it does not matter if you believe it or not, you do have influence. The interesting part about this statement is the person you influence with your words, the person you move to success of failure may be you.
Each day the seeds for changing the world are planted. They are planted in every town, city and the country. New leaders are being born and I’m not talking about physical birth. The government leaders of tomorrow may have a mental birth today. Someone could have mentioned one thing that could bring an idea to life that one day turns that person into a president.
The seeds of change could also bring about the next great business solution. I was reminded of this when I watched the movie “The Social Network” which shows a young man coming up with an idea that is now a household word.
Ten different people watching that movie could give ten different opinions of what Facebook is and who really was involved. Your words today could be taken in so many different ways to create a seed of change in the world.
So what seeds will you plant today? The world could really be yours to change. As we talked about yesterday, you start with changing the person you see in the mirror. Today start planting seeds that change you and seeds that change those whom you come in contact with every day.
