I hope you are having a good weekend. I wish you could see the fall weather here in Dallas, experience that cool feel of the morning air when you are headed out for a bike ride. Well, it has been a good weekend with my honey and we have gotten a few small rides in as we prepare a week of vacation next week and an autumn bike ride.

But I did not make a Sunday post to tell you all about our motorcycle rides. I wanted to send out a quick note of introduction on this week’s theme. I am excited about this theme. Several years ago when going through my last big start over, I was staying at a friend’s house for the weekend when I picked up a book on his table and spent the next two days reading it. I could not stop as it had so much good information. I hope to someday make a modern version of this book, as it was written in the 1930s. The book talking about was called “The Game of Life and How to Play It.”

This week I want to do a theme of life as a game how you playing it. I want to touch on five different ideas of your life and games: how I have used games to help people learn more about themselves; how they have turned games into paths of growth; how we all can learn from a game or two in our lives.

A few months ago I did a post on which I have gotten a lot of feedback. Many liked the joke of the grandmother giving her granddaughter her farm on FaceBook. Yes it funny; yes games, online and off, have become a big industry. But more and more you are hearing about how people are using games to solve everyday problems.

Since I did not want to waste a Monday post explaining what we are doing this week, I decided to send out this little note to let you know what is coming. Check back tomorrow as we get started with Life as a Game.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. I’m going for another ride! Live, Love, and Rock on.
