This week I wanted to focus on five things you need to do when feeling overwhelmed as an entrepreneur. If you have been an entrepreneur for any length of time, you’ve probably found yourself stuck in the quicksand feeling of being overwhelmed.
Today I wanted to tell you the first thing you need to do to get out of this feeling: realize what it is. What you are experiencing is just a feeling; you have to understand that it’s nothing more than that.
So the first thing when feeling overwhelmed is putting it in perspective, realizing the very fact that it is a feeling. We must understand that most of the things we struggle with have just built up to the point we feel we cannot handle them.
Stop and look all around at what you have to do; understanding when the feeling of being overwhelmed is upon you. I know that many things can feel like they are weighing you down. Once you set aside the feeling, then you can get back to the work of handling these problems.
Now take note of what you really have to get done. You see, once you have set aside the feeling and then list one by one all those things you need to get done, you can get started actually doing them instead of just worrying about them.
In this list, give priority to those things that need to get done first. Handle one thing at a time and soon you will get those things that made you feel overwhelmed back under control. Easy!
