Did you ever hear two people describe an event? They were both at the same place yet they have two different views of what happened.
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
~Wayne Dyer
This just happened to me recently while I was sitting and listening to stories of two people who attended another event. One told of how it was unorganized, sharing he felt the system the organizers used left him feeling like it was just not that important. He said he would never attend one of these events again.
Then there was the man who received so much value from the same event. He came back with stories of success and talked of how he will be moving forward with the information he had learned. His perspective showed a fun time, another adventure in the world.
I ask you, what was the difference? Did they attend two different events? No they both went to the same event. Yes there were some organization problems but there was also quality content. The difference is one person focused on what went wrong during the two-day event, things that could be corrected.
The other person looked at things with a perspective of “What can I learn from this event?” And, as a result, his experience was a good one.
You see, the way you look at things will totally change what you see. The person above who had the best experience was excited about it. I have noticed him over the past year of our friendship. He looks at everything with that perspective of believing something is going to be a great experience.
