Well it’s Sunday and it’s a new week. I was inspired to do this week based on an act of kindness I saw offered to me recently. If you have ever met me in person you will see that I’m usually offering some advice, or telling you a story to help you work through whatever problem you may have. It’s what I do. I never stopped to realize that is what others may do also. I’m a coach, I am always listening to what someone says to me, looking for a way to ask you a question, or share a story that may help you work through what you’re facing.

It surprised me to listen to a new friend I met ask me “How can I help you?” In fact, it was so profound it inspired me to write this week about one word: Help.

So this week we are going to talk about help – what it means to help people, what it means to help yourself, and what it means to accept help from others.

I know today is the Christian holiday, and American holiday of Easter. We celebrate Easter as Christians because there is now a way for us to receive true help with a dreaded disease we all received at birth. We were born with a sinful nature. Now we have victory over that because Jesus was crucified for us and rose from the dead. With that we have hope. This is the greatest help we could get on earth.

Most of the people in the coaching industry are about help, we want to give you hope and help you. But just like the Jesus thing, you have to be willing to accept the help to get it. Coaches work to give help, and it is true help. We ask you the questions to get you to work towards the goals and life you want. We understand you were born with certain things that you must overcome. We work with you to move you past the hang ups in life and bring out of you what you want. Just like the coach of your sports team wanted to bring your talent out to play the sport to the best of you ability.

So with Help week, do you have someone helping you plan, and play your best game? What do you want to achieve in your life? Who have you asked to help you get there?
