Well, it’s Friday and I’m writing to you today from the city of Las Vegas, staying here with some friends while I’m out here for some business events. What a town of entrepreneurs! People here are always thinking of ways to make it better, make it work, make it take off.

In my meetings yesterday, I was able to meet with some other speakers who are looking for ideas to market themselves differently; ways to get the message out that it’s time to make major changes to make the world better, to show people that with new ideas the world could be better.

Then I was able to have some time with another friend who is out here to launch her new business. I think Patty is one of the best idea people I know in the Dallas area. But even she said she often needs more ideas and is always looking for them.

In 15 minutes of talking with speakers and coaches, we were able to think of ideas that none of us had thought of on our own. Yes we are very creative thinking people. Why do we need to meet people when we are away from home; why do we, who are creative, need to meet others to think of things?

The power of two minds is stronger than one; the power of five minds is stronger than three. We need to brainstorm more. And more and more people want to be the do-it-yourself people. When are we going to learn that we need other minds to open ours up and create solutions?

When we create those solutions we are going to create other people who start to solve problems. That is why a group of people sit and have those meetings that seem to run on forever. Well our world now needs solutions. Our world needs entrepreneurs, and we cannot be the Lone Ranger in any of it. We need to formulate teams that work together. Some of us need to work together for a while, then move on to form other groups.

This post today was about getting people to realize that to create ideas, first you need to open up to try things that have not been tried before. We need to form partnerships that we have not formed before. We need to join with people who are both stronger in thought than we are, and some that we need to coach to think more. I have a list of mentors – some people who have given me a single idea, to some that have given me tons of ideas. Now the table is turning and I’m helping others get ideas. What is your idea? What team are you going to form to build it? Who are you going to get to put that idea into action? It’s in your hands; now do something with it. Have a great weekend.
