Welcome Back to Part 2: 10 Lessons Learned to Market and Get Clients

The greatest ideas are already written down. Yesterdays post and todays post are about the marketing lessons learned. These two posts are simply a reminder of how we’ve done it before. Success leaves clues, and when we follow proven formulas, we can replicate results.

Today, we’re diving into another five lessons learned over the years. Life isn’t perfect; there will always be ups and downs. The key is to learn from what worked, make note of what didn’t, and avoid repeating the same mistakes.

1. Learn to Follow Up

If you’re like me, you want maximum results with minimal effort. But the truth is, follow-up is one of the hardest yet most important lessons in marketing.

  • Persistence Pays Off: Reach out consistently. You never know how many follow-ups it takes to make an impact, so don’t give up.
  • Automate the Process: The best decision I made six years ago was investing in tools like Kartra to automate tasks such as follow-up emails. These systems remind potential clients that you have the solution they asked about.

2. Creating Campaigns and Marketing Funnels

The biggest turning point for me was discovering Russell Brunson’s ClickFunnels about eight years ago—not just the software, but the training that came with it.

  • Idea Over Tool: A good idea with a mediocre tool will always outperform a bad idea with the best tools. Don’t blame the tools—adjust your campaigns and refine your ideas. While I have used ClickFunnels, and others, currently many people are using GoHighLevel. But I still recommend and use Kartra myself. But all the tools are good its the ideas that you need.
  • Learn and Adapt: Pay attention to what works and what doesn’t. The best campaigns are built on a cycle of testing, learning, and improving.

3. What is the Magic Bullet in Sales?

We all dream of that one secret formula that guarantees a sale every time. But here’s the truth:

  • Start Selling: The only magic bullet in sales is to take action.
  • Avoid Procrastination: Too many people read, plan, and buy programs but never start.
  • The Real Formula: Build relationships, ask questions, demonstrate that you have what they need, and then—ask for the sale.

4. Creating Content

Content marketing remains one of the most effective ways to reach your audience.

  • Start Sharing: Share your ideas on social media, drive traffic to your website, and encourage visitors to opt-in.
  • Be Consistent: The more content you have, the greater your chances of someone discovering, engaging, and taking the next step with you.
  • Follow Up: Use content to nurture relationships through emails and ongoing touchpoints.

5. Take Action—It’s That Simple

These five lessons aren’t rocket science. The challenge isn’t understanding them; it’s doing them. It’s easy to feel frustrated when others are taking action and getting results while you’re stuck reading another book or attending another webinar.

The biggest reason you’re not seeing the results you want is simple: you haven’t taken action. Marketing becomes easier when you move forward. Most mistakes can be corrected, but only if you’re in motion.

If you want more actionable steps, learn from our journey. I’ll admit, 2024 wasn’t our best year. We made mistakes, faced setbacks, and had to regroup. But the good news? The blueprint for success was already written in my own content—books like You Don’t Need A Life Coach and Back on My Feet Again.

I’m revisiting those Marketing lessons learned, applying them, and sharing the journey through our weekly newsletter.
