So I arrived yesterday in Los Angeles to my home away from home for the next seven days. I’m out here attending an event, meetings with people, doing business in the RockStar way that I do.
I was thinking of the journey in my life, how things have changed in the past few years. This afternoon I was talking with my good friend Helen Woo. She is another radio show host whose show, “Self-Aid Success Stories,” airs on the Rockstar Radio network.
We talked about the challenges we are facing. We both could look at each others’ problems and they did not seem so hard to us, as we are not the ones living the issues at the moment.
While traveling I was thinking how good it was to arrive at my destination. It feels good to relax and enjoy the event. Even though I’m still working, I’m not facing road challenges. I am not riding in weather that’s too cold or too warm. I am safe at my hotel. This section of my journey is at an end.
When it comes to building a life, building successful business, being an entrepreneur, the journey never has an end. We are always growing; we must never feel we have arrived in life. We will always face challenges and we must always grow through them.
So as we end this week of RockStar Road Trippin’, I hope you gather this one last nugget of information: no matter what journey you take, you must never feel that you have arrived. The journey of success is not like the road trip I have taken on the bike. It is a trip that will go until the day we leave this earth.
My challenge for you this week is to enjoy the ride you are on. You must address those challenges you are facing – be they good or bad – and learn from them. You have to make the choice to love where you are and what you are doing at this moment in time.
I know this weekend I will also hear my good friend, Glenn Morshower, he greets me every time I hear him speak or visit with him with a hug. He always shares how he loves to be in the very spot he is in now. That is my challenge: take this weekend and learn to love where you are at now.
I’m Tim Gillette, the Rocker Life Coach. It’s time to live your dream, find what you love to do and become highly profitable doing it. Are you ready to make changes to rock your 2013?
