Wantrepreneurs’ Walls: Fear Sucks

Wantrepreneurs’ Walls: Fear Sucks

Think about that dream, that one thing that just brought you to life. You found that passion and you are ready to start that business or entrepreneur venture. I remember the first business I wanted to start, how I had the vision of seeing the goals completed, how I could see the income coming in, and myself living a dream.

You see, so many each and every day will get that dream but most will do nothing about it. What keeps over 80% of the people from starting work on that dream? How can you become one of the 20% who will start on the road?

This week I want to focus on a theme about the walls or barriers that keep “wantrepreneurs” from becoming entrepreneurs. I want to start today by talking about why many of them will not make it into the 20% who give it a try.

Fear is the biggest reason people do not move forward with their passions or work to make their dreams come true, but you can overcome fear. You need to overcome that fear. You see the fear is limiting you from belief in a better outcome than you have ever seen.

Maybe you are like I was for years; you have these fears. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of losing what you have, fear of embarrassment. Fear is a natural thing. We fear things as seemingly simple as learning how to ride a bike to learning anything new. And not everyone who starts a new business or venture is immediately successful. No matter what you do from starting a new business to starting a new job, you will face fears.

You will have failures and you are going to have to pick yourself back up after them, but using that fear is what is going to keep you in a small world, because until you learn to act, your world will get smaller and smaller as you work to build it into a safe place with nothing to fear.

Being afraid to fail is normal but you should never let it stop you. And when you fail, you need to take that as a learning experience you can grow from. Failure can be turned around and become success.

Once you learn to make the steps past fear of failure or fear of success; once you get up and actually take action on this dream of passion, then you will move into the top 20% of people who make the changes in this world. This is the first step in going from wantrepreneur to entrepreneur.

Come back each day this week to see what other walls are keeping you from your passion. Today, let me challenge you with taking action, start with just one small area do it. What action will you take today to make your passion happen?
