Never Give Up

After writing last week on the theme of action, I wanted to go a step further: why we should never give up. I want to focus on how determined people are the ones that get things done. I think back to one of the quotes that drives me. When I have a bad day, or I feel something is not working, I go back to this one quote:

Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. –Thomas Edison

So I wanted to take this week’s theme and give you of five reasons you should never give up. Today would be reason one: Believe in your dreams.

If you were given a dream, then you have to keep working towards it. You never know just how close you are to reaching that dream. Imagine your dream is a buried diamond and you start digging in a place that you have come to believe you will find it.

So many will dig a foot or two; others will go maybe three to six feet. The hardest thing is to dig for days to reach 20 or 30 feet and stop, and then walk away. Guess you will never know how close you were to reaching that diamond that was buried at 31 feet.

If you were given a dream then you must never stop pursuit of that dream. So reason number one why you should never give up is your dream itself. If you believe in that dream then you should never even consider giving up. The dream is still out there; as long as you are alive the dream is still possible. You may have to change HOW you pursue that dream but you should never give up on the dream itself.
