I was thinking about all the different ways that we can help ourselves become successful. We hear so many people teach us ways to become more successful, and yet we overlook some of the very things that are needed to do so.
This week I am going to have my friend, Helen Woo, on the radio show. I was on Helen’s show, “Self-aid Success Stories,” back in March.
This week I am about to travel 1500 miles to Pennsylvania and speak several times while traveling. I was asking myself, “What are some keys that we all forget about that are needed for our success?” This week, I’ll share some of the things I think are missing in many of the teachings right now.
Let me start today with one thing I was thinking about. We all teach, read, listen to radio shows, read self-help learning courses. We listen to great advice from friends, coaches, and trainers. All those things are needed, yes, but one thing that is needed to connect all of those things is this: we need to meditate. When I was starting my journey over in 2005, while I was homeless with very little income, the one thing I did and did lots of was go to places to meditate, to think and listen to that message I read to let those authors whom I read speak to me about the messages I had read.
I listened to God talk to me about all those things I read, or listened to. When I hear a song on the radio, it’s not the song that is teaching me. I listen to the lyrics of the song, letting them speak to me.
That is a key to success that is needed; it is one of those Rock ‘n’ Roll Keys to Success I talk about so much. And that is just one of the things that I think we are missing in building success. Join us each day this week to find out more.
